Kirby Olave is an emerging Australian visual artist, living and working from her studio in Palm Beach in Sydney’s Northern Beaches of New South Wales.

With a background in Fine Arts, Design and Art Education, along with years of experience in the arts industry, Kirby began her own career as an artist in April of 2020.

While her oeuvre is continually expanding and diversifying, Kirby predominantly works with oil paint on canvas and is driven to capture the human body. She aims to capture the body's external landscapes and evoke a visceral response that reflects the emotional, internal dialogue of her subjects. Vivid colour palettes create a hyper-natural voice inviting viewers to connect and contemplate her subject's state of being and the human experience.

From early childhood Kirby was immersed in the artworld and was influenced by masters from the Renaissance, Rococo, Romantic and Surrealist movements. The influence of these art movements is fused with her own unique ideology to create a very personal visual language that reflects her journey as a woman in contemporary times.
